FAQ
What is the difference between an LED Headlight Assembly and an LED Headlight Bulb?
An LED Headlight Bulb is a direct replacement for your factory halogen bulb, fitting into your existing headlight housing. An LED Headlight Assembly is the complete housing unit (lens, reflector, and internal components) that replaces your entire factory headlight. Assemblies offer a more integrated, custom look and often superior performance, while bulbs are a simple, cost-effective upgrade.
Will installing an LED bulb trigger an error code on my dashboard (CANBUS issues)?
Modern vehicles use CANBUS systems that can detect the lower power draw of LED bulbs, potentially triggering a 'bulb out' error. Many of our kits include built-in CANBUS decoders. If an error persists, a separate CANBUS module or resistor may be required for specific vehicle models.
What is the purpose of Accent Lighting and where is it installed?
Accent lighting (such as rock lights, wheel well lights, or interior strips) is used primarily for aesthetic customization and utility. It highlights key areas of your vehicle's exterior or interior for a unique look and can be essential for night-time off-roading (rock lights providing visibility around tires and undercarriage). Installation locations vary widely depending on the kit.
Are Accent Lights waterproof and durable?
Yes, most of our exterior accent lighting, including rock lights, is rated IP67 or IP68 (Ingress Protection), meaning they are highly resistant to dust and water immersion. They are built with rugged aluminum housing to withstand harsh off-road environments.
How do I choose the correct Lightbar or Cubelight size for my vehicle?
We can help you measure the specific mounting location on your vehicle (e.g., roof rack, bumper opening, or windshield frame) to determine the maximum length that will fit. We recommend checking the product description for a compatibility guide, or contacting our support team with your vehicle's year, make, and model for a precise recommendation.
Is professional installation required for these products?
While many of our products are designed for DIY installation (especially LED bulbs), professional installation is highly recommended for complex wiring or physical modifications, such as custom-mounted light bars or full headlight assemblies, to ensure safety, proper function, and maximum product longevity.
